Alter edges host Carroll 34-32 in Wednesday’s girls high school basketball play.
The Knights were led by Ashley Christie with 11 points.
Megan Lange scored 11 points in losing effort.
Alter improves to 17-2 (9-1 GGCL North); Carroll falls to 13-6 (6-4).

Oakwood 59, Milton-Union 50: The host Lumberjacks (14-5, 7-4 SWBL Southwestern) outpaced the Bulldogs (15-3, 8-3). Cathryn Hardy and Brooke Trauthwein both led Oakwood with 19 points. Kaci Finfrock scored 36 points for Milton-Union.
Beavercreek 57, Centerville 32: The Beavers (16-2, 8-1 GWOC Central) scored early and often, leading the visiting Elks (8-11, 3-6) by 18 at halftime. Mikaela Ruef led Beavercreek with 20 points. No Centerville player reached double digit scoring.
Vandalia 63, Troy 20: The Trojans (7-12, 3-5 GWOC North) proved little trouble for the visiting Aviators (17-3, 7-1). Vandalia’s balanced attack was paced by Brittany Holland’s 13 points. None of Troy’s players reached double digit scoring.

Boys Basketball

Clinton Massie 59, Waynesville 53: The host Spartans (12-5) second half rally fell short against the Falcons (6-11). Justin Evans led Clinton-Massie with 16 points. Travis Williams scored 25 points in losing effort.
Preble Shawnee 64, Monroe 55: The Hornets (4-12, 2-7 SWBL Southwestern) trailed the visiting Arrows (7-8, 3-6) by 23 at halftime. Both Dylan Brown and Willie Barnhill scored 20 points for Preble Shawnee. J.C. Kellis led Monroe with 11 points.
